Ranks Information

You can still read this/follow it, but it won’t be required. Just a guideline, since I realized that this is just so much to do. This is mainly directed at the owner ks, I still expect mods and members to try.

Have you ever wondered what your duty is? Do you think you’re just are measly member rank with nothing to do? Wrong. Every rank has a job. Scroll down to find out what your job is.

Leader

The leaders hold the most power in the army. They can do almost anything without getting permission from anyone. They can demote and promote member and mod ranks, and they can demote and promote owner ranks. Leaders must train and mentor the 2ics so that the 2ics will be capable of leading when a leader retires. Leaders may declare war on other armies, they can schedule events, and they may accept merges (armies merge into AW, not AW merges into another army). However, they cannot overthrow or demote another leader unless the rest of the army votes yes.

2ics

2ics hold almost all the power, except for the fact that leaders are more powerful. They are mentored and trained by the leaders. so that they can lead when a leader retires. They can be demoted by leaders, but not without a good reason. 2ics may promote or demote mod/member ranks, unless 2 or more owners object. The 2ics can schedule events, invasions, and practice battles, but they CANNOT declare war upon another army. The 2ics are expected to help with join comments, and add people to the Ranks page with a rank that is reasonable. They must lead events when no leader is present. If there are two or more 2ics present, then they take turns.

Things a 2ic must pass before being capable of being a leader:

  • They must lead a Training Session effectively.
  • They must lead a Practice Battle/Invasion/Event against another army effectively.
  • They must know the Invasion Guidelines.
  • They must know what type of government AW is.
  • They must know what rank to rank people when they join.
  • They must know when to post an active count and when to post promotions/demotions.
  • They must know what to post.
  • They must know how to negotiate with another army leader, especially when they’re being stubborn.
  • They must know when declaring war on another army is pointless.
  • They must know that the Arctic Warriors should not ever merge into another army.
  • They must know how to run the site.
  • They must know when to be on chat and when to go on CP (unscheduled).
  • They must know when to schedule events.
  • They must know who should be demoted/promoted.
  • Must pass a spelling and grammar test.
  • More things will be added later.

As you can see, 2ics must do many things. If a 2ic passes every single one of them, then they are ready to become leader. If you are a 2ic and you do not know some of the answers to the questions, please ask a leader. Leaders will gradually ask you to do these things, especially when you aren’t expecting it.

Things 2ics are expected to do (and should do, or face demotion):

  • Schedule at least 3 events per month, which that 2ic must lead. (Please no more than 4). (1-2 must be an event against another army).
  • Write a post on AW site at least 3 times per week.
  • Be on chat absolutely whenever possible.
  • Attend every single event possible (without reminder).

3ics

3ics are important also. They train to become a 2ic, which is a very hard job indeed. 3ics can schedule recruiting sessions, training session, and practice battles, but that is it. They must ask permission from a leader to schedule an event, because a leader might already have something else in mind. They are urged to help with the new join comments, since there is no such thing as too much help. They must lead scheduled events if there are no higher ranks present.

Things a 3ic must know before being ready to become a 2ic:

  • They must know when to be on chat and when to go on CP (unscheduled).
  • They must know who should be promoted/demoted.
  • They must know the invasion guidelines.
  • They must know AW should never merge into another army.
  • They must lead an event effectively.
  • They must pass a spelling and grammar test.

The 3ics must also be active, commenting on posts and coming to events.

Things a 3ic must do:

  • Schedule 2-3 events per month. (1 should be an event with another army, but it is not required).
  • Post on AW site at least 1-2 times per week.
  • Be on chat when possible.
  • Attend as many events as possible.

4ics

The 4ics are the lowest owner ranks, and they are a sign of who has broken out of the “Moderator shell” and has finally become an owner rank. They must be on chat frequently, go to events frequently, and just be active. They will soon become 3ics, so they better  be their best. 4ics are authors on the website, while 1-3ics are editors.

All owner ranks must stand out from moderators. They are expected to perform much better than they did as moderators, or else they will be demoted back to a mod rank. Although they do not have as big of a load as the ranks above them, they are still required to do a few things.

In order for a 4ic to be eligible to be promoted to 3ic, they must pass a spelling and grammar test.

Things 4ics are expected to do:

  • Schedule 1 event per month.
  • Post on AW website 3 times a month.
  • Attend all possible events.
  • Be on chat as much as possible.

Mod Ranks

Moderators are important. If they work high enough, they can become an owner, and then a leader. They must be on chat often, come to events, etc. They must also recruit their friends, etc., so that this army can grow. Mods are expected to be on chat frequently, come to events, and support this army. If they are not working hard enough, they will be demoted.

Moderators, if you don’t come to events, if you don’t comment on posts or come on chat, then you will be demoted. No doubt about it. I don’t care if you worked hard for your rank, you have to work hard to maintain it too. Mods will most likely be promoted every other month, but if you work super super hard, then possibly promotions will come more frequently.

Member Ranks

Members are very important. They must also come to chat often, comment on posts, and recruit people. It’s very easy to be promoted when you are a member, so if you are active, you will be a mod rank in no time! All you have to do is come to events and be on chat. If you really, really want to be promoted, be on chat as much as you can!

Don’t forget to come to events and comment on the posts on the website. If I link you guys to a new post, I expect you to read it. If you read it, comment. If there’s a new event posted, comment on whether you can attend or not! Don’t think you can just ignore the site, the website is important too.

Remember: Coming on chat, coming to events, and commenting on posts = Good.
