Ice Cold Invasion Results [05/05/2012]

EDIT: In response to Unk, indeed I might have over exaggerated a bit.  Thank you for checking my honesty.  I was just so excited that AW did really good at this event.  AW maxed around twenty-five at this event.  On the other hand though, I don’t see the big deal about it.

That was one stressful battle.  Am I disappointed in our efforts?  Hell no.  It was a stressful battle because it was so close.  Before I get into the depth of the battle I just wanted to say how proud I am of both armies.  We did amazing and after our last training session, we needed something to boost us in the top ten.  DCP surprised me mostly.  I knew they were big, but wow!, that was really big.  I wouldn’t be surprised if AW and DCP were in the top three next week.  After this battle we truly deserve it.

Basically DCP won.  Unfortunately we were unable to capture all of the server, therefore DCP would be the victors.  We had around twenty-five to thirty on CP whilst DCP had thirty-five and more.  The beginning of the battle was basically AW doing stuff and DCP forming a line.  Thus I think we won the beginning.  Most of the battle DCP were owning us (no big deal, it’s alright) and had size over us.  Then in the end we cam back and started to have a huge advantage.  Overall though DCP wins.

On behalf of AW, we applaud you DCP.  We also ask you to not take this personally.  AW needs practice for an upcoming war that the we really want to have.  For some reason we just can’t find the right enemy.  That’s why we invaded you guys to see if we were ready to take on bigger armies than us (in the top ten.)  Comment if you were at the battle for your FIFTEEN, yes fifteen, snowflakes.

Twi lead a training session that was scheduled.  I’m disappointed in our size results but it was probably just a fluke.  We did manage to get around fifteen on CP though.  That’s good for now.  Twi got us to master every skill possible when it comes to the basics.  He nailed us so hard– oh that’s what she said!  Twi, you did an awesome job in leading today.  Everyone loves you so much.  It was sure a lot of fun and really helped some newcomers.  Our tactics should be perfect now.

THINGS WE MASTERED-

-Making straight perfect lines. No gaps, no stacking. As fast as possible :  Did it in 30 seconds

-Doing emotes in unison. 

-Scouting Areas. To find enemies around server: done in 45 seconds

Eight snowflakes have been given out for this event.  I expect better results next CP event.  Just because we’re in the top five does NOT mean we can slack off.  It actually means we have to work harder, situational irony.  You will be punished without a warning.  This is army and discipline is our number one way to deal with things.  I think, I mean that’s what armies do.  Please comment if you made this event.

Frosty Training [04/30/12]

Hai dere, AW!

This evening we had a great training session.  I understand that most of you are tired of events, but this event was crucial because it was our last chance at the top ten.  Seeing as our last battle against GD didn’t go so well we needed something to make up for it.  Surely this made up for it.  We were so close to maxing about thirty.  I could feel it and it was so darn close.  If you came to this event you were awarded eight snowflakes.  Tomorrow is promotion day so y’all better come to tomorrow’s event for your last shot at one.

SHORT POST ALERT

The new top ten on CPAC has been released.  We were expecting to get seventh, which is amazing one way or another.  Instead we got sixth.  /faints  Isn’t that just so fudging amazing?  Words can’t describe how much I love you all.  Especially since all the chat sizes are huge and everything.  I love you all and you’ve made AW bigger then imagined.  I just wanted to make a post thanking everyone.

Erica, you made this army and made it to what it is today.  Congratulations!

Owners, thanks for always being there for AW and making AW chat fun.

Moderators, thanks for actually staying active.  You all have a lot of experience and are active/dedicated.

Members, you are the heart of the army.  You pump the blood throughout the rest of us.  Thank you so much.

Arctic Domination

I’m sure everyone has read Icey Cold’s post on the fact that we received the 10th spot in the (CPAC) Top 10. We did indeed become the 10th largest army *cue applause*, and it was all because of you guys. I’m proud of you, and you’ve made me very happy. However, this is not the end. We still need to keep working hard.

Here’s a little recap of a few topics:

Upcoming Events

I hope everyone is aware of the five events we have this weekend/Friday. First, we have an invasion of Snow Drift, which belongs to the Yukon Federation. The Light Warriors have decided to join in on that event, so it has turned into a 3-way battle for the server.

The next day, we are having three events. The first event (2nd round of the CPAP tourney) should be a no-brainer, since the Night Warriors will most likely be a no-show. An hour later, we must defend Husky from the Light Warriors. Shortly after that, we will participate in a UWA (United Warriors Alliance) training session, to test our size.

The event on Sunday will be the most important event out of all the events this week. I expect all of you to try your best to attend the defense of Frosty.

To Mod or not to Mod?

I know everyone wants to be a mod. I get it. No mod, no deal, right? However, we need to balance out the ranks. I know you want to be a mod, but we need more member ranks too. Please consider accepting a member rank while joining the army. The only difference is that you won’t be able to kick/guest/ban/member anyone. We will have to unmod quite a few people when Promotion/Demotion day rolls around.

UK Troops

Most of our troops are North American, which means we have a very little group of Europeans in the army. That needs to change. If you have UK friends, or if you’re UK and you aren’t in the army, then you should join. Any UK soldier will be beneficial to the army — as long as they are active. In the future, we will be looking for a UK troop for an owner rank, so keep that in mind.

Again, very good job guys, but we’re not done just yet. Be active, go to events, get on chat, and I’ll be happy.

SHORT POST ALERT.

Our creator, and current leader, might be AFK today because she’ll be having some fangirl screaming raves.  This is correct, she’s obviously excited.  CPAC posted their top ten today (or maybe it was yesterday; I’m delusional) and AW was on it at the very bottom.  Yes we have made it into the top ten and we’re currently the tenth best army.  Etac14 has finally reached her online life goal– leading a major army.  This is legit and a huge history chapter for us.  If you want to join a MAJOR army then click on this sentence.  You’ll be added to the ranks page extremely fast due to our highly active, and trained, owners.

We have a lot of events coming up so please be prepared and ready for them.

I can finally be calm now.

Tourney Match Results [4/15/12]

Events for this week will be released shortly, I am just waiting for the Round 2 times and IAL Week 1 times.

Well, it was a pretty close battle, resulting in a tie of sizes, but one army managed to win by a hair/ant due to tactics, which means..

We won!

Good job to the Pretzels. We were fairly weak in sizes during the beginning, but then we started picking up size. But by our superb tactics (with all the owners shouting tactics left to right, I’m sorry Polo), we were able to win.

SMAC, I’m flattered that we were placed #1 small, but I hope these will push you to consider us for the medium Top 10:
